Founded in 1883, the company was owned by the Kuhn family from 1934 to 2019 and was managed by the family as K+D AG before becoming part of AR Packaging. Today, GPI Swiss AG is the Swiss healthcare competence center of the Graphic Packaging International Group.
With pharmaceutical expertise and state-of-the-art digital technologies, the St. Gallen-based company develops and produces GMP-compliant, refined and tamper-proof cardboard sales packaging for the pharmaceutical, medical technology and cosmetics industries. The company has 70 employees in St.Gallen. The world of packaging is dynamic and constantly changing: new ideas, technological advances and, above all, changing customer needs. With the vision of creating success through packaging, GPI Swiss AG has set itself the goal of being a leading partner for its customers. In 2023, GPI Swiss AG won a Worldstar Global Packaging Award in the Medical and Pharmaceutical category for a customer's test kit. The award is the most prestigious award for packaging worldwide.
The company supplies customers from Switzerland and neighboring countries, but the folding cartons from St.Gallen find their way all over the world. It is quite possible that the packaging for their health product is also made in St.Gallen.
